Israel, Tlaib, Omar, & Triangles

Why is there so much fear in the world? Recently, Israel banned U.S. Representatives Tlaib and Omar from entering their country. The U.S. President encouraged Israel to ban the entry of his political foes.

This is a strange triangle.

Triangulation is a manipulation tactic. One person (Trump) will not communicate directly with another person(s) (Tlaib & Omar). Instead, he used a third person (Israel) to relay communication to the second. Thus, we have a triangle.

Rashida Tlaib is a U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 13th congressional district. She is a democrat and Muslim. She is also the oldest of 14 children and went to the same university as both of my parents. To me, she sounds interesting and like she typifies the American success-story.

Ilhan Omar is a U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s 5th congressional district. She is also a democrat and Muslim. She was born in Mogadishu. She overcame coming from the stateless land of Somalia and made it to the U.S. when she was 10 years old in 1992. She is a naturalized citizen and symbolizes the potential in the American experiment.

President Trump has a problem with Representatives Tlaib and Omar. They have a problem with him. The Bible provides some basis for addressing conflict. Matthew 18.15-17 talks about going to a person if you have a problem. It does not endorse triangulation. Trump, Tlaib, and Omar should meet. They should try to find solutions to America’s biggest problems. They should work together.

I know that is unlikely. But, it’s biblical and it might work.
